Cyber crimes in Maharashtra and India

Computer is the one kind of device which had change entire lifestyle of human being, before arrival of the computer there was no any option to perform any task or any work without manual or animal help, since last three decades, everything has changed and human life becomes efficient and automatic.

In the year of 1960 the invention of Internet has been occurred and in the 1992 internet was opened to people and now days so many people are using internet,devices are differ from each other like from Super computer to smartphone everywhere there is a internet, it is a golbal system which floats information from one computer to another computer in short the information is just a 'single click away' No need to stand in a que for ticket booking of railway,air,cinema,event etc. it is online, no need to stand in a departmental store for shopping you can buy or sell anything online, no need to go in a bank to do banking transaction, bank is just click away, no need to write an email or letter to friend they are always online through social networking, no to for fund transfer form one country to other, in short internet has made entire world as a global village. It is not mandatory that everyone should have a computer to do this task you can do it form your smartphone also.

So many people are known about benefits of internet but very few people are aware about crime through internet and through computer, all kinds of online and internet related crimes comes under cyber crime. There are few points which are focused on cyber crime in India.

1. Hacking:

Hacking is the simple term which means to log in to others computer without his/her consent or give illegal commands to computer via remote access or through manual mode. It is also called as cracking of the system, every act committed to breaking of the computer or network is called as hacking, mostly hackers use ready made programs or written programs to attack others computer, and they get access of other computers and personal information, they uses this information for monetary gain, some hackers capture the information of your credit card, debit card, online banking, etc, they utilize it for withdrawal of money form others account, transfer of fund from one account to other account. Government and military websites are top targets of hackers.

2. Child Pornography :

Internet is the highly useful medium by accused to reach and abuses children mentally and sexually, child pornography is rapidly increasing in India. Basically the facility of internt is easily available in metro cities of India and more children are using internt and become victims of child pornography.

3)Cyber Stalking :

Cyber stalking would be a repeated act of harassment or threating behavior of the criminal towards the victim through internet services,such as making phone calls, killing the pet of victim,send an abuse emails on frequent basis, desire of stalker to control and destroy the life of victim,

cyber stalking cases are finding in love matter,extra martial affairs, mostly girls are victim and boys are accused in this cases.

4)Denial of service attack:

In this act criminal gets a bandwidth of victims network or fill his/her mailbox with spam or junk mail, Dos (Disc operating system) attack, ping attack also comes under denial of service attack.

5)Virus Dissemination:

Software by email attack on victims computer/device such as virus, Trojan horse, time bomb,logic bomb, rabbit etc.

6. Software piracy :
   Theft softwares, illgal copying of original and geniune progrmas, and distribution of this software and program in open market without consent of progrmaer or publisher of software.

7)IRC crime :

Internet relay chat is the server which has a chat rooms in which people from anywhere in the world gather and chat with each other.

8. Credit card farud :
   Misuse of otherts credit card information or card to buy some thing or goods without owners consent.
9. Net Extortion:
   Copying a confidational data of the company and extort said company for huge amount of money.
10. Phishing :
    The act od sending emails to victim to claiming something for him like lottery,
    luckey draw, job opening etc and ask his personal infromation like Bank account number, password of net banking credit card information, is called as a internet phishing
